Heritage crime and ASB

It's National ASB Awareness Week, and as part of that I would like to remind you of the link between Anti-social behaviour and Heritage crime. Heritage crime is defined as “Any offence which harms the value of heritage assets and their settings” this includes but is not limited to graffiti, vandalism, arson, theft from heritage sites, illegal metal detecting etc.

We live in an area with a rich history containing plenty of scheduled monuments, listed buildings and other places important to local history. I would encourage you to check the list of heritage assets near you by visiting historicengland.org.uk and report any concerns to Devon and Cornwall Police.
